LUM Plant Light Activator Spray
This is an individual class project I worked on during my semester abroad at NYU Abu Dhabi. As a class, we were asked to design speculative products that will be sold in the future supermarket. I was assigned to design for the garden aisle.
LUM is a nanotechnology-infused plant light activator spray that makes indoor plants glow therapy-grade light to keep people concentrated and focused. The technology behind my design is proven feasible in the future through various scientific research. This product touches on the future impacts of urbanization and the capability of human-plant interaction.

Initial Concept
Each solid capsule contains a fixed amount of liquid plant solution(inspired by TICTAC candy). The package is non-transparent but there's a small window on the side of the container to see how many capsules are left(inspired by ARIEL detergent). When the button is pressed, the spike breaks the capsule and turns it from solid into liquid(inspired by SMINT box).
One issue with this design is that multiple sprays need to be pressed in order for the solution to cover the entire plant surface. Can water be added to mix with the capsule? The final concept was adapted into a 2-in-1 design, combining the functionality of storing and spraying.
